Roman Inquisitions

Question: What are the causes that led to the Inquisitions?

The Roman Church was fighting against the Belief that Christ Jesus only forgives Sin, as Emperor worship was common until Constantine, in approx. AD 300+!

The persecution of Christians waxed and waned, depending on the current Emperor, from the 1st Century AD; but when the “Roman Church” became established, it pronounced its own Rules and teaching; which was contrary to the Bible, and its clear teaching; especially forgiveness in Christ Jesus’ Death!

They tortured people until they denounced and denied Jesus; but most refused; and the behaviour became the impetus for the “Reformation”; together with Martin Luther and other notables!
